This page provides key information about production times, Express Service, shipping and payment options at Sketchus.

Production time & Express Service

Every Sketchus portrait is drawn or painted by hand by real artists. Delivery time therefore consists of two parts: creating the artwork and shipping it afterward with DHL.

Without Express, your portrait is automatically scheduled in order of receipt. Standard production usually takes 2–4 weeks. Timing may vary slightly depending on the subject, style, size, number of people and photo quality.

Express Service

If you need your portrait sooner, you can select an Express Service in your cart. Express gives your order priority in the schedule and sends it to our artists sooner.

  • Express Service – 7 days: 19,99 €
  • Express Service – 14 days: 9,99 €
  • Without Express: automatic processing in order of receipt, usually within 2–4 weeks

The Express Service option appears automatically after you add your portrait to the cart. You can choose whether to use Express there. If you do not select Express, your portrait will be created in the normal order of receipt.

Please note: Express means your order receives priority. Because every portrait is handmade, artistic care is always maintained.

Shipping within Germany

Shipping within Germany is free. We generally ship your finished portrait with DHL.

After shipping, you will receive shipment status information by email if tracking is available.

Shipping to other countries

We also deliver to many other countries, for example within the EU, to Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the USA.

Shipping costs depend on the destination and the items in your order. Current shipping options and final charges are shown at checkout.

Shipping time

Once your portrait is finished, shipping within Germany generally takes about 1–3 business days. International shipping may take longer depending on the destination country.

Please note that the stated Express time primarily refers to priority production of your portrait. Shipping by DHL follows afterward.

Gifts and fixed deadlines

If you need your portrait by a specific date, such as a birthday, wedding, Christmas, Mother’s Day or another special occasion, we recommend ordering early or choosing Express Service.
